Why did you choose to study this career?

Hi guys! it's Romina again. This new post is about my career. I remember that when I was a little girl, I wanted to be the same thing as every single girl: a veterinarian. I didn't even like animals that much, but it was a famous thing among my female classmates. It didn't last too much, when I was like 7 years old, my mother noticed that I had a white stain in my face, so she took me to the doctor and he said that I had Vitiligo. It was a weirder disease at that time, so my mother didn't know anything about it and she was so worried, poor mom. But for me it was so fun, I liked my stain and I started to like more things about the skin, so I wanted to be a dermatologist. That wish lasted so long until I started secondary school, when I started to like criminalistic things but still enjoyed biology so I decided to study Forensic Science. Even when I was in 10th grade, a fantastic biology teacher arrived to my school and like always, he started to ask us what we wanted to be in life, so I told him I wanted to be a forensic. And the situation was like this:

- Oh that's cool, have you ever gone to the morgue? 

- Hm no

- Would you liked to go?

- Yes, sure

And this way he took me and my classmates to the morgue like a class trip. It was a very cool thing, we touched dead people, we saw a lot of  misshapen fetus, etc. Unfortunately, I didn't like biology anymore, it started to be a memory thing to me and I am a very forgetful person. In the same year, I started to like math and physics a lot, so in 11th grade I went to the matematical elective and I wanted to study a Bachelor's in physics. I did the PSU with that objetive, but I didn't reached it, so a took a free year (I worked, obviusly) but I wanted to study and do the PSU again. In that year, I realised that I wanted to do something useful with my life to my people. I mean, Chile is a very  messed up country and I couldn't live my life like I didn't know it. So I decided to study to be a Math and Physics teacher and motivate my students to be what they want to be and not what people say they should be. My experience at the university has been a little bad, it started with the pandemic and the online classes and currently my mates are very boring. Most of them didn't really care about fighting for us, for our education and our country, but whathever, that is another thing to talk about. For the same reasons that I decided to be a teacher, is that the kind of job I would like to have is in public or rural schools, I wouldn't work at rich people schools because they don't need my help, our people do.
